Toronto Basement flood protection
Basement Flood Protection System in Toronto is designed to efficiently manage the sewer and stormwater. The flood protection system is a combination of Backwater Valve & Sump-Pump Systems. The backwater valve is installed on main sanitary drain pipe and allows the sewers to go downstream but prevents it from backing-up from city side. The sump-pump system collects storm water from waterproofing and/or walkout floor drain, and discharge collected water outside of the building. City of Toronto subsidies the flood protection installed by the licenced plumbers and pay back to the homeowner up to $3,400.
